Visual Opinion Survey


In the Spring of 2004, the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) conducted a Visual Opinion survey to provide residents an opportunity to define what they like and dislike about commerical and residential streets and street elements.

976 respondents looked at 69 pictures and provided their preferences on a scale from -5 to +5, with +5 being the most favorable. CDOT is using this valuable input to help develop Street Design Guidelines for future road construction projects.
