The Charlotte Department of Transportation wants to encourage citizens to use bicycles for transportation, but it also wants to make sure its citizens are safe.  Before riding your bike make sure you are familiar with Charlotte biking laws* and North Carolina's biking laws, which were designed to protect North Carolina bicyclists.
