Due Date:
- Taxes are due and payable September 1st.
- 2008 taxes are payable without interest through January 5, 2009.
- An interest charge of 2% is assessed on 2008 delinquent property tax bills on January 6, 2009.
- An interest charge of three-fourths of one percent (3/4%) is assessed on February 1st, and each month thereafter until the taxes are paid in full.
- Delinquent notices are mailed in February and March.
- Delinquent taxpayers are advertised in the Charlotte Observer in April.
