Due Date:
Taxes are due and payable September 1st.
2008 taxes are payable without interest through January 5, 2009.
An interest charge of 2% is assessed on 2008 delinquent property tax bills on January 6, 2009.
An interest charge of three-fourths of one percent (¾%) is assessed on February 1st, and each month thereafter until the taxes are paid in full.
Delinquent notices are mailed in February and March.
Delinquent taxpayers are advertised in the Charlotte Observer in April.
