You risk having your water service turned off.   

Any payment made toward your Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utility bill is first applied to the storm water fee, then to water and sewer charges.  If you do not have municipal water and sewer service, you still must pay your storm water fee.  Unpaid storm water accounts are turned over to a collection agency.
