Can I reduce my storm water fee?

Property owners may qualify for a storm water               fee credit if:

  • their storm water runoff does not enter a Charlotte-Mecklenburg public drainage system or
  • the property owner has significantly reduced the amount of runoff.

Ponds and BMPs
A pond on your property may reduce your storm water fee if it meets certain criteria.  Call 311 for an on-site pond inspection, then apply for a fee credit.

Multi-family residences and businesses that install specially-designed storm water controls such as rain gardens, level spreaders or wet ponds may quality for a fee reduction.  The Fee Credit Application must be completed by an engineer.
