Find out if your property has mandatory water quality buffers
|

Go to the POLARIS interactive website
Select "Search" on right side of screen
On left side of screen, type your address or tax parcel identification number and select "Find"
Select "Layers" on right side of screen
On left side of screen, select "Water Quality Buffers" and "Refresh Map"
Select "Legend" on right side of screen
On left side of screen, scroll down the legend to the heading "Water Quality Buffers" to identify the type of buffer indicated on the map of your property/parcel.

The area shown in green is a water quality buffer.
This property has 50-foot SWIM buffers and 50-foot
Post-Construction buffers.

the section telling if the property has a water quality buffer. |
Learn more about complying with buffer requirements
After completing the steps above, select "Parcel Info" on right side of screen
On left side of screen, select "Floodplain, Zoning and Watershed Info"
On left side of screen, look for the heading "Parcel Falls Inside a Water Quality Buffer." The box will say "YES" or "NO."
If it says "YES," select "Click here to get more detailed water quality buffer information for this parcel."

Post Construction Districts
SWIM Buffers
Watershed Districts (includes information about Water Supply Watershed buffers)
Ordinances about water quality buffers
