Tuesday, November 14, 2006 – (Charlotte, NC) – The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services' sponsors the CURB IT! collection program.  As a part of the CURB IT! program, city collection crews collect residential garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulky items from curbside once a week.  Collection crews will not collect garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulky items on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, 2006.   The revised collection schedule for impacted customers is as follows:

¨       Residents who normally receive service on Thursday will receive service on Friday, November 24. 

¨       Residents who normally receive service on Friday will receive service on Saturday, November 25.

Residents are reminded that collection materials should be placed at curbside no later than 6:30 a.m. on the scheduled day of collection.  For questions, residents should call 311.
