Billboard Regulations

A Billboard Stakeholders Group was formed in early 2006 to examine the Zoning Ordinance regulations for outdoor advertising signs and explore possible changes that would add value to the community, positively impact visual quality and reduce visual clutter, and mitigate adjacent land use issues.  The Stakeholders Group met seven times between April of 2006 and May of 2007.  The resulting text amendment proposed to add regulations to allow new or converted electronic outdoor advertising signs.  This text amendment, 2007-109, was approved by City Council on October 15, 2007.
