Bryant Park Landuse & Streetscape Plan
(as Adopted by the Charlotte City Council on July 23, 2007)

The Bryant Park Land Use and Streetscape Plan defines an exciting new vision for the district located just west of Uptown Charlotte. The plan area is about 360 acres in the vicinity of West Morehead Street, Wilkinson Boulevard, Berryhill Road, and Freedom Drive.

Several major development projects are pending in the area. This plan provides the comprehensive vision for land use, street networks, and infrastructure to tie these projects together, to build upon the area’s strengths, to create a thriving mixed-use village, and to extend the benefits of revitalization to neighborhoods even further west.

The planning process began with a kickoff meeting on September 21, 2006. A multi-day charrette open to all was held October 24-26. Using input from the public meetings and other discussions with groups and individuals, the draft plan document was prepared. Based on comments received, a few changes were made. After a series of reviews and public comment sessions, City Council approved the plan on July 23, 2007.
