Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department is now taking registration for its 2005-06 Girls Basketball Leagues at Bette Rae Thomas Recreation Center (2921 Tuckaseegee Road) and/or Sugaw Creek Recreation Center (943 West Sugar Creek Road).  

Registration is open to girls ages 8-16.  Girls may register as individuals and be placed on a team or entire teams may register.  The registration fee for individuals is $55.00 and the fee for teams is $350.00.  Registration ends October 31, 2005.

League play will be December 2005 through February 2006.  Whether teams will play at both recreation centers depends on turnout.
