TYLER PERRY TV SHOW ON TBS REFURBISHES BASKETBALL COURT AND INVITES PUBLIC TO ‘FAMILY REUNION’ IN PARK MAY 23

May 13, 2009

Charlotte, NC— “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” TV show on the TBS cable channel is paying to refurbish a basketball court May 18-19 at Sugaw Creek Park, 943 West Sugar Creek Road. The project includes repairing and resurfacing the court, adding new rims and nets.

Then, on Saturday May 23, the TV program hosts a “Meet the Browns Family Reunion” for the general public, at Sugaw Creek Park, 11am-3pm. The “reunion” will include a family style barbecue, free t-shirts, and family-friendly activities and games and for all ages, ranging from kickball to cards. This event is FREE for families who wish to attend. Attendees are asked to bring blankets and chairs suitable for a picnic in the park. The Meet the Browns show will provide food and activities.

As TBS explains it, “Congratulations, Charlotte! You have been chosen as one of five cities across the country that will partake in our Community Betterment Initiative hosted by “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns” TBS hit comedy airing this May!” TBS urges people to come to the event and join this celebration on Memorial Day Weekend of the “Meet the Browns” TV program.
