Charlotte, NC-- Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department invites anyone looking for good bargains to a Garage Sale and Arts and Craft Sale on Saturday, June 13, 2009, 8am–2pm, at Marion Diehl Recreation Center and the Tyvola Senior Center, both at 2225 Tyvola Rd.  

If you’re struggling with a tough economy, pay a visit!  This is FREE to the public. Dozens of exhibitors will sell wood crafts, sculpture, caricature pictures, jewelry, household items, clothing, bric-a-brac, etc.--whatever artists, artisans and second-hand sellers bring! Proceeds support programs at the recreation center and senior center.

The event will also feature representatives of Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and the Charlotte Fire Department giving tips on crime prevention and fire safety.
