Great Grades in School Merit a Trip to Ball Game; Kids Can See the Charlotte Knights Play for Free!

Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites youngsters, ages 8-12, to come on a FREE trip to a Charlotte Knights baseball game Monday, July 28, 2008. The event is called “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” for kids who had a great academic 4th quarter (as defined by their parent or guardian).
A parent or guardian may bring their kid’s final report card by the Albemarle Road Recreation Center, not later than July 25 to qualify for the trip. Kids will travel by van to see the Triple-A Chicago White Sox affiliate Charlotte Knights as they take on the Buffalo Bisons at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill, S.C. Space is available, so sign-up soon! The excursion will leave at 10am, July 28 from Albemarle Road Recreation Center, 5027 Ildewild Road, and return after the game. This event is cosponsored by Genesis Sports Management.
