Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department invites youngsters and their parents to Winget Recreation Center, 12235 Winget Road, for special open house sessions on Saturdays, July 18, 25 and August 1, 8, all 11am-1pm. 

The sessions are FREE and have activities for children, ages 12 and under. Each will offer active games, arts and crafts, and refreshments. The sessions are a chance see the facility and learn what Winget Recreation Center has to offer including Start Smart Soccer, basketball, “Spooks and Ghouls Halloween Party,” outdoor adventures, a 4-H program, board games, etc.          

The rec center is in the gym of Winget Park Elementary School. It was established through a joint use agreement between Mecklenburg Park and Recreation and Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
