Thursday, July 9, 2009,  The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Athletic League (PAL) is very excited and proud to announce a great achievement by one of our golf program youth.  On Wednesday morning, July 8th, our youth golf program set out for what was to be their normal day of practice and course play at The Tradition Golf Club located at 3800 Prosperity Church Road Charlotte, NC 28269.

Within a short period of time, a normal day of golf turned into an exciting and once in a lifetime achievement for seventeen (17) year old Cinnamon Shakiera Davis.

PAL Youth Makes Hole In One

Cinnamon, playing the Tradition Golf Club course with her fellow PAL Golf Program participants, approached the 8th Hole, a PAR 3 120 Yard hole armed with her Dunlop Pitching Wedge Club.  After lining up her shot off of the tee, she commenced to hitting a great golf shot that hit on the green and then proceeded to roll into the cup for an awesome "Hole In One"!  After seeing her golf ball roll into the cup, Cinnamon began to jump up and down in excitement and amazement.

Cinnamon says that she was very, very excited after making the hole in one; she further states "For once in my life, I hit the perfect golf shot…and I am looking forward to the chance of doing it again"!

Cinnamon has been a member of the Police Athletic League for the past six (6) years; she attends West Charlotte HS and has a 3.75 GPA.  Cinnamon wants to major in Civil Engineering when she gets to college!

Congratulations Cinnamon, your Police Athletic League Family is proud of your hard work and accomplishments both in the classroom, as well as, on the Golf Course!
