Charlotte, NC--The best of world class drum and bugle corps return to Charlotte for the 21st Annual NightBEAT, Sunday, July 27th at 7pm in American Legion Memorial Stadium, 310 North Kings Drive. NightBEAT will feature 8 corps, including 6 of the current top 12, including The Cavaliers and The Blue Devils and the Carolina’s own Carolina Crown, 2007 Spirit of Disney Award winners, coming off the best season in their history. 2008 Drum Corps International Summer Music Games season is in full swing This year’s line-up for NightBEAT includes:

Being hailed as the largest horn line in DCI history, Carolina Crown’s 2008 repertoire is powered by 80 horns, 16 of which are tubas! Their show, entitled, “FINIS”, includes Musical Selections & Inspiration from Candide, Barber of Seville, Symphony No. 9, Clair de Lune, One Hand, One Heart, and Somewhere (Bernstein), 1812 Overture, Appalachian Spring, and Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
