Blueberry, blackberry and muscadine plants are sold in one-gallon containers and are three years old.  All fruit trees, flower trees and flower shrubs are sold bare root.  Fig trees, Dogwood trees, Crape Myrtles and Forsythia shrubs are 2-3 feet tall.  Cherry trees are 4-5 feet tall.  Apple and Pear trees are 5-6 feet tall.  Hydrangea shrubs are 12-18 inches tall.

Blueberry bushes must be planted with other varieties to produce fruit.  Blackberry plants are thornless, erect-erect growing varieties and do not need a trellis.  Muscadine vines are self-fertile varieties and need a trellis.

Order online at www.ces.ncsu.edu/mecklenburg/plants or call the 4-H office weekdays 8am–5pm: 704-336-2082.   More detailed information on specific varieties available on the website. Buyers will receive a confirmation by mail.  Plants will be available for pick up March 7 and 8 at the Cooperative Extension/4-H Office, 1418 Armory Drive.
