2009 Event Dates:

  • Opening Ceremonies - Ray's Splash Planet, April 18th, 9:00am-2:00pm
  • Big Saturday - Myers Park High School, April 25th - 7:15am - 3:00 pm
  • Little Saturday - Nevin Community Park, May 2nd, 8:00am - 3:00 pm
  • Performing Arts Show - Levine Sr. Center, May 7th, 7:00 pm
  •  Silver Arts Show - Tyvola Sr. Center, May 12, 2:00pm-3:30 pm

In September of 1983, 130 participants from Charlotte, Wilmington and Asheville, came to Charlotte to participate in an Olympic style competition that later evolved into Senior Games. Since then, North Carolina Senior Games has grown to serve 50,000 participants in 100 counties through 53 local games. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Games serves Mecklenburg, Gaston and Lincoln counties.
