► Youth Football Instructional Camp

Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department invites youth, ages 12-14,  interested in playing tackle football to sign up for football instructional camps June 16-19, 2008,  9am- 3pm. These camps are organized by Park and Recreation's Youth Football Initiative in association with the Junior Player Development program of the National Football League.

► Kids Bike Rodeo

Youngsters aged 5-12 are invited to a Bike Rodeo Thursday, May 1, 2008, 4:30pm-7pm at Naomi Drenan Recreation Center, 750 Beal Street.  This is a great opportunity for kids to learn about bike safety and to practice their biking skills. This event is FREE.
