  Description: Filling in low areas in the park with topsoil.
• Name of Project: Nature Museum Trail Cleaning
  Date of Project: Saturday, September 18, 2004
  Time of Project: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
  Volunteers Needed: 25 Adults
  Description: Volunteers will help clear the Nature Trail through hand pruning of small trees, branches, and hauling trash.

The following perks will be supplied by the Horticulture Division to all Volunteers offering support on the Freedom Park Restoration Project:

Restrooms, water/cups, and temporary rain shelter will be located on site. Professional staff will be available to answer questions and provide tips from the horticultural/turf/irrigation trades. Volunteers will be formally recognized by the Park & Recreation Commission and invited to their annual BBQ on May 6, 2004. Volunteers will be invited to a March 5, 2005 "Volunteers March to Freedom" audio-visual program review of 2004 workdays and success stories. The program will include a surplus plant sale and tours of the P & R Horticulture Team's experimental gardens where new plant varieties are field-tested
