The Therapeutic Recreation Division provides leisure and recreational programs and services to the citizens of Mecklenburg County and is divided into the Special Populations Section and Select Populations Section.  Staff serving each population is directed and guided by the their respective TR Manager and/or Team Leader and the overall programs, services and division personnel are under the direction of the Therapeutic Recreation Division Sr. Manager.

Special Populations offers program services for children, youth, teens, young adults and adults with physical and/or cognitive disabilities.

Select Populations offers program services for Youth-At-Risk.
