The Therapeutic Recreation Division of the Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation Department seeks to "enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, select youth and teens, the homeless, culturally diverse groups or others with barriers to full recreation participation by facilitating opportunities to: achieve personal goals, increase independence and improve quality of life through the provision of recreation and leisure services in the most appropriate setting."
