In November 2007, Park and Recreation hosted a Design Day Workshop for the new NASCAR themed playground at Nevin Community Park!
315 kids gathered at Nevin Park for a morning of brainstorming ideas, and an afternoon of Carnival games, inflatable games and more! The kids "worked" with the Playground Designer and expressed what they wanted to see in a playground. After "work" it was playtime! There were activities for all to take part in, but the hands-down favorites were the Bull Riding and the Micro-reality Racing.
