Upcoming Workshops:
EELE Morrow Mt. "Old as the HIlls"
Environmental Education Learning Experiences (EELE's) developed by NC State Parks are specially designed educational programs correlated to the North Carolina competency-based curriculum in science, social studies, mathematics and English/language arts. Each program includes pre-visit, on-site and postvisit student activities that have measurable objectives, background information, vocabulary, references and step-by-step activity instructions. In addition to the program, educators are offered the opportunity to attend the corresponding environmental education workshop at a state park. Workshops allow educators to meet the park staff, test the student activities on-site with other adult educators, practice teaching techniques for working with children outdoors and learn basic natural history facts about the park and its environment.
