Imagine holding in your hand the Ruby-throated Hummingbird, one of the fastest birds in the world!  Get a glimpse of these beautiful flying jewels as they depart for their long journey south.  Reedy Creek Nature Center invites you to the 2008 Reedy Creek Nature Preserve Hummingbird Festival sponsored by Dr. JB's Hummingbird Products.  Come find out how you can create a hummingbird haven in your own backyard.  Observe science in action as ornithologist Susan Campbell records details on the hummingbird's great migrations.  Susan will demonstrate how she carefully bands their tiny little legs.

There will be free fun games, activities and storytelling for the entire family!

We are currently accepting applications for sponsors and vendors.  For more information call 704-598-8857.
