In the spring of 2000, the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County adopted the Center City 2010 Vision Plan. Among many recommendations, the plan included the suggestion of a large scale public park that will become the symbolic focus of Mecklenburg County and the city of Charlotte. 

The design drawings are progressing niclely. Our goal is to bid for construction late 2008 and open late 2009.
