| PROJECT HISTORY: |
Named after the former property's owner and community leader to recognize and preserve the local, community heritage of this family. This park is a partnership with the Towns of Davidson and Huntersville (who will operate the park once completed). Community Workshops were conducted in 1997 and 2005 to develop the approved site master plan. The North Park District, the Park and Recreation Commission and the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners have all reviewed and approved the site master plan. Amenities that are planned for Phase II of this project include 3 additional soccer fields, picnic shelters, trails, a baseball complex, recreation center, and disc golf course. |
| PROJECT SCOPE: |
Phase I will include 3 soccer fields, 1 baseball field, 4 softball fields, 1 picnic shelter, 2 restroom buildings, roads, parking, irrigation and lighting of the softball/baseball complex. |

Construction is 90% complete. Substantial completion is projected for Spring, 2009 |
