Stewart Creek Greenway

Length:  Approximately 1/2 mile
Location:  Heathcliff Street to Freedom Drive
Description:  The new section of greenway will link to the existing Wesley Heights Greenway at Heathcliff Street and follow Stewart Creek downstream to Freedom Drive. The greenway will add to an existing trail system that takes visitors from Seversville Park off of State Street under I-77 to Frazier Park and Ray's Splash Planet near uptown Charlotte.  The greenway will be an asphalt trail with limited boardwalk.

What's Next:
Design is complete and the project is being permitted. Construction is anticipated to begin June 2007.


Community Workshops:  Community workshops were held to gain citizen input on the design and construciton of Stewart Creek Greenway. The feedback was incoporated into the final design of the greenway.
