FIRST TIME VISITOR? 
Here is a list of things you should know before your visit to Ray's Splash Planet:

  • Don't forget your towel! We do not supply towels. (We do sell them.)
  • Outside food and drink is not permitted in the facility. Concessions are available on Fridays and Weekends only, during non-summer months. 
  • Cash, check (NC/SC only with state issued I.D.), and money orders are accepted methods of payment. We now also accept credit cards (Visa/Mastercard with state issued I.D. only).  An ATM is available on site as well. 
  • A "dry ticket" is available for non-swimming parents or adult escorts for $3 County Resident/$5 Non-County Resident.

Facility Courtesies and Policies

  • Children 3yrs and under must be accompanied by an adult in the water.
  • Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the facility.
  • Children under 10 years old must be accompanied by an adult in the Splash Park.
  • Children 3yrs and under must wear swim diapers. Swim diapers may be purchased at our Help Desk.
  • Children 6yrs and older must use same gender locker room or family lockerroom.
  • Fitness Center is reserved for adults only (18+).
  • Shirts and shoes are required in the lobby area.
  • Rain checks are issued only if the facility is closed for longer than one hour.  (Must keep and show your receipt.)
  • Inflatable flotation devices, water wings, toys and floaties are not allowed in any Mecklenburg County pool. US Coast Guard approved lifejackets are available for children. 
  • Swimsuits are required and subject to Management approval.
  • Mecklenburg County is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please secure your valuables.
  • No coolers, outside food or beverages are allowed in the waterpark area.

Facility Courtesies/Policies are posted throughout the facility. Please be aware of them.

Pool Rules
1. All patrons must shower prior to getting in the water.
2. Proper swimming attire is required and subject to management approval. Cut-offs, jeans or attire with exposed metal or decorations may damage slides or other equipment and are not be allowed.
3. A male must walk the boys and a female must walk the girls through appropriate locker rooms. A family locker room is also available.
4. Inflatable flotation devices, water wings, toys and floaties are not allowed in any Mecklenburg County pool. US Coast Guard approved lifejackets are available for children.
5. Our staff are hired to keep all participants safe. Please do not distract Lifeguards on duty.
6. All lost and found items will be kept for a minimum of 3 days. Afterwards items will be donated to the Goodwill.
7. Vision glasses are not permitted on any slide.

Things to Remember
1. Certified lifeguards are on duty at all times.
2. If it is lightning the pool will close for 30 minutes from the last lightning strike.
3. The pool must close at least 30 minutes after cleaning up in the event of vomit or defecation.
