Federal and state privacy laws strictly regulate who is permitted to have access to patient information or be in a patient care environment. However, limited opportunities to "ride-along" with Medic do exist for EMS and allied healthcare professionals (EMT students, emergency department nurses, etc.) for educational and other limited circumstances.
