JOB OPENINGS

Telecommunicators
Incumbent will be responsible for answering service calls from citizens for EMS/Fire response and dispatching appropriate resources in a high performance fast pace EMS/FIRE system with an annual combined call volume of approximately 90,000 responses, serving a population of over 800,000.  EMD/EFD or EMT experience preferred.  This position requires working shifts to include rotating weekends and holidays. Shifts are non-rotating 48/36 with every other weekend off. Starting salary:  $31,212-$34,801.  $500 Sign-On Bonus.

EMT's
EMT's work closely with paramedics and perform basic emergency medical care and stabilization to patients. A current NC certification is required and continuing education requirements must be current before you will be considered for employment.  EMT's respond to instructions from emergency medical dispatchers and provide basic patient care functions during transport to medical facilities.  This position requires working 12-hour shifts to include rotating weekends and holidays.  Starting salary between $26,000-$28,860 while in the EMT Academy.  Pay will be increased to $30,000 upon successful completion of the program.

Paramedics
Responsibilities include providing quality emergency medical care and stabilization to patients at accident or illness scenes and during transport to medical facilities.  A current NC certification, ACLS, PALS & a valid driver's license required and continuing education requirements must be current before you will be considered for employment.  This position requires working 12-hour shifts to include rotating weekends and holidays. Starting salary between $34,000-$37,910. $3,000 sign-on bonus.
