Medic is an active participant in Safe Kids Charlotte Mecklenburg. SKCM is a member of the National Safe Kids Campaign.  This organization is dedicated to reducing preventable injuries and deaths among children ages 14 and under.  Currently, Medic participates in the Coaltion in several ways.  Our Community Relations Coordinator functions as the President of the Executive Board.  Medic's Injury Prevention Educator is also a member of the Executive Board and currently heads up several Safe Kids programs including Walk This Way (Pedestrian Safety) and Get in the Game (Sports Injury Prevention).  In addition, Medic provides a significant amount of staffing for SKCM Events.

Medic's participation in Safe Kids Charlotte Mecklenburg has been recognized in several ways.  The 2002 and 2003 Member of Years were Medic employees.  In addition, we have been asked to present at the National Safe Kids Leadership Conference each year since 2002.  We have presented on such topics as Child Safety Seat Inspection Stations, Working with The Media, Data Evaluation, and Fundraising.  In addition, we have participated on several committees for the National Safe Kids Campaign.
