Is Your AED Registered with Medic?

In a medical emergency, the location of an AED may help save a life. More businesses, office buildings, fitness facilities, golf courses and individuals are purchasing this potentially life-saving technology.

Please register the location of your AED with Medic by calling Monroe Hicks, at 704-943-6179, or e-mailing the information to him at monroeh@medic911.com.

According to N.C. statutes - HB 1636 & SB 1269 -
In order to enhance public safety, a seller of an AED must notify the state NC Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Facilities Services, Office Emergency Medical Services of the existence, location, and type of AED.

We strongly encourage any business or facility with an aed to register it with our dispatch center.  Many times, callers may not remember, or even know, that an aed is available on site.  Registering your aed allows our dispatchers to prompt callers about not only the location of the device but its usage.
