The role of the Educational Liaison is to serve as subject matter expert for MeckCARES and the Area Mental Health's Local Management Entity as it pertains to policy and procedures of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and other educational institutions that engage youth and families in our community. The position is also responsible for providing training and technical assistance to youth and families, to school staff and to providers throughout Mecklenburg County. In addition to participating in consultations and staffing for community support case managers, the Educational Liaison is available to accompany children and families to IEP meetings, school disciplinary hearings and to student intervention team meetings.

The Training Coordinator develops the policies and procedures regarding training registration and training documentation; works with the Social Marketing Committee to ensure they have all the information to advertise the training. The Training Coordinator find locations and training for all SOC trainings; works to ensure that trainers have the tools that they need to be able to make their presentations and is the liaison between the Collaborative and the training team.

The Outreach Coordinator (OC) helps to identify children in the community with SED, particularly among underserved populations. The Outreach Coordinator collaborates with agencies in the community so they can provide adequate, effective and culturally competent services to ethnic minorities and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) consumers and families.

The System of Care Nurse provides, manages, and coordinates health related services and activities for school aged children enrolled in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The delivery of care involves the promotion and maintenance of wellness, prevention disease, and rehabilitation, with an emphasis on mental health, to school age children.
