Role of the Cabinet
The primary role of the Charlotte International Cabinet is to promote Charlotte as an international city and to serve as a resource to foster international relationships. It provides a community forum for international issues, offers citizen access to local government officials, and works with local international organizations to promote public awareness of Charlotte's ethnic diversity and international connections.

Cabinet Accomplishments
To assist the international citizens of the Charlotte area, the Charlotte International Cabinet has teamed with other organizations in Charlotte to develop programs and initiatives furthering the goals outlined in Charlotte's International Strategic Plan.
Mayor's International Community Awards
Each year, the Mayor's International Cabinet (which includes Charlotte Sister Cities), World Affairs Council of Charlotte, North Carolina World Trade Association - Charlotte Chapter, and International House sponsor the Mayor's International Community Awards to recognize the philanthropic support that local foreign-owned companies give to Charlotte area nonprofit organizations.
