The Communications Section is considered the central nervous system of all field radio traffic. The Communications Section operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is responsible for maintaining and directing radio traffic for 30 different zones within the county. The communicators are charged with answering the telephones, utilizing the CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch), and completing checks as requested through the DCI (Division of Criminal Information) terminal.
