The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office offers non-criminal fingerprinting as a service to the citizens of Charlotte-Mecklenburg.

The fingerprinting service is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Cost is $10. You will be asked to fill out a card which will be provided by the Sheriff's Office.

Anyone wishing to use the service should come to the Permits Bureau Office which is located at 715 E. Fourth St., Suite 200. The building is across the street from the current Criminal Courthouse and behind the historic Mecklenburg County Courthouse, slightly below street level.
