Fees for Mecklenburg County Land Development permits are effective July 1, 2008. Please note changes to include fees for Traffic Impact Study Review.

For subdivisions, the fee formula also covers review of street design, construction inspection of streets and review of record plats.

Mecklenburg County Land Development Expedited Plan Review

Expedited Review is a new, optional, service. Customers choosing this process will have their Land Development Plan Review conducted by a private consultant

There is an additional charge for Expedited Review. Rather than an hourly cost, expedited Review is a fixed fee at one of four levels. County staff will determine the fee level for each applicant. This gives the customer the advantage of knowing upfront the cost of plan review. The Expedited Review fee is in addition to Mecklenbrug County's standard Land Development fee's.

Cost for Expedited Review

$100 Administrative fee to evaluate application

$500 Level One: Minimal Review Estimated 1 to 3 hours to complete

$1500 Level Two: Average Review Estimated 4 to 12 hours to complete.

$3000 Level Three: In-Depth Review Estimated 12 to 24 hours to complete

$5500 Level Four: Large Project Review Estimated 24-40 hours to complete
