Winning the war on litterbugs!! We had another great month with 200 'swats' for the month of Jan. Keep up the great work!!
Reporting a litterbug is easy. You can report it by phone or online. All you need to provide is the tag number, date, time, location and a brief description of what type littering occurred (cigarette butt, fast food wrappers, construction material, etc.) We'll take it from there.
The owner of the vehicle is sent a letter from the State of North Carolina Department of Transportation explaining why litter is illegal, creates a safety issue, is extremely unsightly and is very expensive to get rid of. Who knows, they may become a Swat-A-Litterbug themselves.
