Get Involved in the 2009 Great American Cleanup

Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful will be participating in the Great American Cleanup (GAC) from March 1, 2009 through May 31, 2009.

Several projects are under development for community-wide participation, but please don't let that stop you from "doing your own thing" NOW. You can obtain free GLAD FlorceFlex trash bags for your cleanups which are provided by The Glad Products Company, one of many sponsors of the 2009 Great American Cleanup. We also have Great American Cleanup banners for you to use to promote your own projects.

A very special event will take place before the end of May. It will involve public participation in a contest to name a new Volkswagen Beetle that will be used to support and promote Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful programs on an on-going basis. Stay tuned for more information.

For information on how you can get involved, contact Jake Wilson, Executive Director of Keep Mecklenburg Beautiful, Inc. at 704-432-1772 or send an email to Jake.Wilson@mecklenburgcountync.gov.
