Scope of Services:

Administer and enforce the state building codes by performing the required building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical inspections for residential construction jobs with a total cost of $40,000 or less.  Such projects include: room additions, remodeling, structural repairs, decks, and screen porches.  This also includes residential heating, cooling, and plumbing equipment change-outs.

The Residential Trades Inspectors are certified with a minimum Level I Inspection Certification in Building, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing.  As a result of the inspectors having multiple certifications, this program facilitates a more efficient inspection process for the smaller residential projects.
