Congratulations to our Champions from Oaklawn Language Academy for defeating Scotts (17-14) and winning a $1,000 check and the first place trophies.

The inaugural State Fire & Life Safety Bowl was held on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at th Charles Mack Citizens Center in Mooresville, NC. Six teams that were first and second place finishers in their respective counties represented Mecklenburg, Iredell and Catawba. The particpating teams were from Oaklawn Language Academy, Saint Ann Catholic School, Concordia Christian Day School, Lyle Creek Elementary, Woodland Heights Elementary and Scotts Elementary.

 

 

Assistant Fire Marshal/Educator Walker Reid received the Award of Excellence from the State Fire & Life Safety Bowl Committee.
