30th Annual Fire & Life Safety Bowl
|
The annual Mecklenburg County Fire & Life Safety Bowl was held on March 13, 2008 at the Oasis Shrine Temple. Fourth and Fifth grade students and coaches represented twenty-eight public and private schools throughout Mecklenburg County.
And the 2008 winners are!!
- Champions - Oaklawn Learning Academy (receiving $500.00)
- Runner-Up - St. Ann's Catholic School (receiving $300.00)
- Third Place - Lake Wylie (receiving $100.00)
- Consolation - Crown Point (receiving $50.00)
In addition to cash awards, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams received trophies. All participants received T-shirts and certificates.
The semi-finals and final rounds were moderated by Eric Thomas, Meteorologist for WBTV.
