Most Common Reasons Projects Fail to Submittal Requirements:
Appendix B, North Carolina State Building Code Summary
1. Project did not have required Appendix B.
2. Appendix B not current 2009 version.
3. Appendix B not properly filled out/completed.
4. Appendix B in conflict with project drawings (i.e.: construction type on Appendix B different than shown on plan sheets).
5. Appendix B not on full sized plan sheet.
Building Permit Application
1. All projects submitted for plan review must have a Building permit application filled out and with plans.
2. Building permit must match scope of project plans.
3. Building permit failed to have estimated total project cost shown.
4. Address of project in conflict with Appendix B address and /or address verification form.
OnSchedule Review Application
1. Application stated specific scope of project and Building permit(s) and/or plans state different scope of work for project.
2. Project came in missing correct number of plan sets for review.
3. Project came in missing additional site plans for City of Charlotte.
Plan/Drawings
1. Plans issued "Not for Construction" or "For Bid" or "For Permit", etc. Must be "For Construction".
2. Plans missing professional seals, where required.
3. Plans not minimum 18" x 24" sized plan sheets.
4. Plans incomplete for scope of work to be permitted. Missing Civil, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.
5. No Key plan showing "area of work" for project.
6. No sprinkler information on reflective ceiling plans for upfits, renovations and/or alterations, where required.
7. No fire alarm sheets, devises, riser diagrams, and sequence of operation.
