Mecklenburg County Air Quality operates a local program to limit and minimize air pollution from cars, trucks, and off-road equipment such as construction equipment and lawn mowers.  Air pollution reductions are achieved through public education, voluntary and incentive based programs and by enforcing the County's Transportation Facility Regulations.
