Charlotte, N.C. – Every 12 seconds, someone is infected with HIV. What if every 12 seconds someone was tested for HIV? What if every 12 seconds someone received information and tools to protect themselves from this disease?
That is the goal for National HIV/AIDS Testing and Counseling Day. It is an opportunity for individuals to meet one-on-one with a health educator, discuss their own personal risk, learn how to keep themselves safe and get tested to determine their HIV status.
