Business Owners Invited to Participate in the Regional Business Preparedness Summit

The Mecklenburg County Health Department, the City of Charlotte and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, along with United States Homeland Security and many other federal, state and local agencies, will host a Charlotte Regional Preparedness Summit at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 from 8:30 a.m.until 4:30 p.m. The event will offer business owners and managers important information, tools and resources on such topics as business continuity planning, emergency response coordination, and pandemic flu preparedness.
 
Featured speakers for the Summit are Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistant Secretary Alfonso Martinez-Fonts, Jr.
