GREAT AMERICAN SMOKEOUT: MECKLENBURG COUNTY'S "COMMIT TO QUIT" CEREMONY ON THURSDAY

GREAT AMERICAN SMOKEOUT
The Mecklenburg County Health Department will hold its annual "Commit 2 Quit" celebration and Tobacco-Free Champion Award ceremony

WHEN:
Thursday, November 16

The Westin Hotel

WHO:
Mecklenburg County citizens who have quit smoking, their families and friends, and fifteen Tobacco Free Champion award recipients

WHY:
November 16 is the Great American SmokeOut. The annual Commit 2 Quit contest is a Mecklenburg County program to help smokers quit. This year, the culminating celebration event is being held at the Westin, a hotel that became tobacco-free this year. The Westin, along with fourteen other companies, churches, volunteers, and students, will also be receiving Tobacco Free Champion awards for their leadership in becoming tobacco-free workplaces or working to reduce tobacco prevalence in their communities.
