FINAL CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION OF PUBLIC POOLS

When requesting the final inspection for a public swimming pool, a written statement signed by a registered architect or a registered professional engineer must be submitted stating that construction is complete and in accordance with approved plans and specifications and approved modifications.  This will require that the architect or engineer make periodic inspections of pool construction, or designate a trustworthy individual who can provide information to the architect or engineer who is providing the letter.  When this is completed, the contractor should contact the Department at (704) 336-5100 and request the final inspection.

At the time of the inspection, the pool should be filled with water, the water be properly balanced, and all pumps and equipment be operational.
